Common questions

How is the crowd score calculated?

Every ranking is a set of head-to-head results. A park's pick score is how often it wins those head-to-head matchups. Parks with only a few matchups are pulled toward the middle, so one enthusiastic ranking can't carry a park to the top.

What is Today's Pick?

One question a day, the same for everyone: which park do you like more, or which is better for a trip style like wildlife or stargazing. Answer, then see the live split. Answers build the Best For board and, when enough people with similar interests answer, the recommendations in For You.

Where do the photos come from?

Wikimedia Commons, under the licences listed in the app under Me → Photo credits. If a credit is wrong or a photo should be swapped, tell us here.

How do I delete my data?

Me → Reset my data removes everything from your phone. To remove what you have sent, message us here with "delete my data" and the trail name from your Me tab.
